Just a Quickie...
November 06, 2010 by Yugen
Not much time to write tonight, or the whole of this week so far, so just a few pictures. Tenshin Roshi arrived from the UK on Wednesday night - welcome home Roshi! We had some Cahuilla basket weavers visiting (I took a couple of photos but they weren't that exciting as not many people were there at that point so I didn't post them), an Ino workshop led by Wayu and then Obon on Sunday. All of the above went very well.
The tractor is back up and running after getting the parts and the service manual and seeing that the nut that holds it all in place is a staking nut, which means it gets hit with a punch on the descending lip, which fits in to a groove on the shaft. A common type of ending on axles and gear shafts apparently. So now there is no excuse to get the road ship shape! We have a yoga group in today for the weekend so there has been various prep for that going on as well. More news in the next few days...
