Are we entering a new dark age?

Someone said Zen is in decline. I said, "really?, oh i didn't know", but then again, most things i see in the financial and political world are in decline. One thing that I can say for certain about that mess: math is math. And mathematically we may be entering a new dark age. What can't work, won't work. For a long time i've seen this, but i hoped that technology would be able to save us. But it's too late for that now. even technology cannot undo the exponential function. It's like when you are doing a 100mph and the wall is right in front of you: you know that stopping isn't even an option. And I'm looking at a lot of hockey stick graphs these days...

But i don't mind. I have limitations, that's fine. If someone thinks me a god, i'll be quick with a devil's trick! I do know the wisdom of the elders is right here. And come what may, i will practice this step and not worry too much about the next. We will see what comes, we will see. I walk out my door every day and here is the Bodhi Tree. How long has it been growing here giving shade and shelter with it's presence? No, nothing lasts forever, but for today I love this old tree.

Exponentials always turn into logistic curves
Analysis falls short as the Leviathan lurches forward
And the Dark Age never happened
