Early on Tuesday morning the heavens opened and the rain came pouring down. And down. It has pretty much stopped now but there are still heavy clouds overhead which are forecast to start clearing tomorrow. As a result we have been working on fixing the road which always gets damages by the rain. Once the sun comes back out, the surface dries off quickly so there is a short window of opportunity in which the damage can be effectively repaired by the grader blade which we put back on the tractor today for the occasion. Rain is not that good for us as it runs off before being absorbed in to the ground, so the trees and the water supply don't see that much of it and it just ends up causing damage. Slow melting snow is just the ticket in our neck of the woods.
