Driving time from Los Angeles is approximately 2 1/2 hours without traffic. In order to arrive by the 5:00pm registration time on a Friday, you must leave before 2:00pm. Driving time from San Diego is approximately 2 hours. Again, expect heavy traffic leaving the city on a Friday afternoon.
Allow extra time, especially the first time you come.
