That's Reverend Yugen to you
September 20, 2010 by Yugen Lakey

Here are a couple of pictures from my tokudo ceremony today. I really enjoyed the whole thing and was touched that many people came out to be here and witness the ceremony. Thank you to everyone who attended, and thank you to Shinjin and Jishin for the photos. And thank you to Tenshin Roshi for having me as a training monk and to the sangha for the support. I better do a good job now! As Roshi said, this is where the work begins...

Rev. Yugen??? Pure? Innocent? Sure… only until your hair grows out! ;^)
Seriously, Jim, your ceremony was beautiful and we were honored to be there. I felt like this ordination only confirmed what your commitment to Yokoji and the Dharma has been all along. I’m glad we could be there to share the joy.

Is this Dr Joe? Still doing the early morning zazen followed by breakfast at Kimo’s? That is one of the things I most miss about Liverpool!

Congrats, Rev Yugen… though I can’t help noting what a shiny head you have! Hope it was a great ceremony, Yokoji is lucky to have you.
